Job Summary

Special Security Officer Specialist responsible for processing and maintaining company and government inspectable records and procedures for employees to obtain and maintain government security clearances or positions of trust. Applies advanced skills and industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, working with minimal direction, and mentoring or supervising team members. Requires experience in personnel security within a Special Security Office (SSO) as a National Security Adjudicator, Background Investigator, or Security Manager, along with knowledge of document control, physical security, security education, and security clearance management. Familiarity with NISPOM, SCIF/SAPF processes, and related DoD directives, and possession of a TS/SCI clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Experience performing personnel security functions in a Special Security Office as a National Security Adjudicator, Background Investigator, or Security Manager
  • Knowledge of security functions and tasks for mass indoctrination and security clearance management
  • Knowledge of document control, physical security, or security education and training
  • TS/SCI clearance required
