Job Summary
Support the deployment and operation of GFiber's FTTH build in a metropolitan area by leading all Deployment and Operational team members. Ensure alignment between design, construction, and service delivery while coordinating with city officials, jurisdictional authorities, and utility representatives to meet business targets. Manage GIS, network planning, engineering design cycles, permitting, proposals, bids, and scope definitions for Single Family, Multi Dwelling, and Single Business Units. Lead complex cross-functional projects involving vendor management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost engineering to optimize fiber network infrastructure across Southern California.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with fiber network deployments, outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure
- 5 years of experience leading teams and vendor management
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting costs, project reporting, capacity planning, quality assurance, equipment turn-up, testing and acceptance
- Knowledge of inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, and engineering design and construction
- Knowledge of network drawings, route maps and scopes of work, interpreting fiber test results and auditing projects for compliance with scopes of work
- Experience in operational improvement, process/workflow development, and managing complex cross-functional projects
- Experience with GIS, CAD, and interpreting complex fiber test results
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Technology
- 7 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience developing requests for proposals (RFPs), scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting costs, reporting project status and costs, procurement and consulting with contractors and vendors
