Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned tradesmen for HVAC product and equipment installation. Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to direct assemblies and installations at job sites. Order materials, equipment, and tools to maintain efficient labor use while enforcing safety regulations and establishing work sequences to meet construction schedules. Analyze and resolve work problems, study schedules to estimate man-hour requirements, and maintain time records. This journeyman-level role requires shop math skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and experience with PVCs and welding equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Understand shop math
- Work skillfully with tools, PVCs, etc., and machines
- Visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches or blueprints
- Work within precise limits and standards
- Perform a variety of duties which often change
- Rate information using measurable standards
- Completion of apprenticeship program
- Appropriate journeyman experience
- Good communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work with Planning Calendars
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment
- Manual material handling performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards
- Manual material handling performed in accordance with company policies
