Job Summary
Lead the Pre-K Literacy Pilot from curriculum selection through outcome reporting, managing four Early Literacy Guides and coordinating schedules for up to 15 classrooms across Wilmington. Research and implement developmentally appropriate literacy curricula aligned with the science of reading, while overseeing site protocols, staff training, and regular team meetings. Monitor student data using the Preschool Early Literacy Indicators tool to drive continuous program improvement and serve as the primary liaison to participating center directors. Manage the pilot budget, track expenditures, and produce a final report with recommendations. Regular travel to centers and some evening hours are required; this role is based in Wilmington, DE, on a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in early childhood education, Pre-K instruction, or literacy program development
- Bachelor's degree
- Regular travel to early childhood centers across Wilmington and surrounding areas

Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing staff or direct reports
- Knowledge of the science of reading and developmentally appropriate literacy practices for ages 3–5
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple sites and schedules simultaneously
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse community-based partners
- Experience with student assessment tools and data-driven program improvement
- Ability to train, coach, and develop paraprofessional or tutoring staff
- A strong outcome orientation with the ability to track progress toward measurable program goals
- Advanced degree in education, early childhood, or a related field
