Job Summary
Review referrals and diagnostic reports to determine appropriate interventions, provide training and support for special education and general education teachers, and ensure legal requirements are met. Conduct ARD, 504, and LPAC meetings with principals and staff while scheduling and documenting all student services. Assist classroom teachers with implementation of special populations plans, provide coaching for Special Education and Dyslexia staff, and consult parents regarding educational needs and assessment data. Support the campus-initiated referral process, respond to parent requests for evaluations, and maintain effective relationships with supervisors, contractors, and students. Compile and file all required reports and records while complying with federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Excellent Organizational, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills
