Special Procedures Technologist - Cath Lab

Job Summary
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization, positioning and immobilizing patients on examining tables. Assist physicians with specialized procedures, including instilling enzymes or inserting balloons to remove plaque, while entering technical factors and activating fluoroscopes to guide catheters. Provide procedure explanations, monitor vital signs on multichannel data analysis systems, and alert staff to changes in patient responses. Maintain accurate documentation and control environmental factors for safety. Requires ARRT certification, state Radiologic Tech license, and BLS certification. Located in Browns Valley, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
