Job Summary
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization. Assist physicians with specialized procedures, including instilling enzymes or inserting balloons to remove plaque, while positioning and immobilizing patients using head and shoulder braces. Monitor multichannel data analysis systems for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration, alerting the physician to changes in patient responses. Enter technical factors and filming sequences into the computer, manage environmental factors for safety, and provide clear discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation adhering to program standards.
Required Qualifications
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
