Special Procedures Technologist - Cath Lab

Job Summary
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization, positioning and immobilizing patients on examining tables. Assists physicians with specialized procedures, including instilling enzymes or inserting balloons to remove plaque, while entering technical factors and activating fluoroscopes to guide catheter movement. Provides procedure explanations, monitors vital signs on multichannel data analysis systems, and alerts physicians to changes in patient responses. Maintains accurate documentation and controls environmental factors like temperature and electrical safety. Requires an ARRT certification and state Radiologic Tech license, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and Cath Lab experience.
Required Qualifications
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- all required vaccinations

Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent
- some certifications will require Bachelor's
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
