Special Procedures Technologist - Cath Lab

Job Summary
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization, positioning and immobilizing patients according to specified protocols. Assist physicians with specialized procedures by entering technical factors, manipulating x-ray tubes, starting contrast injections, and activating fluoroscopes to guide catheters through the cardiovascular system. Monitor multichannel data analysis systems for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration, alerting physicians to patient response changes while providing procedure explanations and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation adhering to program standards and control environmental factors including temperature, humidity, and electrical safety.
Required Qualifications
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- all required vaccinations

Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
