Job Summary
Perform special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures, including preparing patients, administering contrast, positioning, and selecting appropriate imaging techniques. Enter and monitor patient data while performing quality assurance on radiology equipment. Assist physicians during invasive procedures, take emergency calls, and report accidents or equipment malfunctions to management. Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies, manage supply and productivity within budgetary specifications, and mentor less experienced staff through continuing education and competency checks. Work Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm with a full on-call rotation every five weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions
