Job Summary
Perform special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures, including preparing patients, administering contrast, positioning, and selecting appropriate imaging techniques. Enter and monitor patient data while performing quality assurance on radiology equipment. Assist physicians during invasive radiological procedures and take emergency calls within the department. Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management. Adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications. This part-time role requires a Texas Medical Board license, ARRT certification, and BLS/ALS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions
