Job Summary
Prepares patients for procedures, positions them for rapid sequence filming during contrast media administration, and operates diagnostic equipment including fluoroscopy tools to ensure safe and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists physicians during angiographic and interventional procedures by scrubbing, circulating, or monitoring activities, while setting up sterile trays and handling instruments following aseptic technique. Calibrates and maintains equipment, reports failures immediately, and monitors patient conditions by calling out equipment readings. Utilizes ICVS and PACS systems to enter and retrieve images, demonstrating working knowledge of procedure protocols and collaborating professionally with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT)
- Graduate of an approved CVT school
- Problem-solving

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must hold and maintain active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must hold and maintain active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Active NJ Certified X-Ray Technologist (NJ CXT) license
- National registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring experience
- EKG Certification
