Job Summary
Conduct patrols and enforce security protocols at a professional sports venue, managing transitions, vacations, and leave absences to ensure minimum staffing coverage. Maintain order on the property by addressing undesired behavior, crimes, and threats while ensuring compliance with DC Code and company policies. Submit comprehensive reports on complaints, observations, and investigative findings, and advise the supervisor on activities of interest or concern. Drive full-time staff to and from the ballpark on gamedays as needed. Perform duties in a respectful, professional manner while operating under pressure in a high-activity, crowded outdoor environment with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- Two years related experience and/or training
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to climb up/down stairs
- Must be able to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees
- Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, deliver effective results and consistently meet tight deadlines and targets
- Understands the need for data integrity and pays attention to maintaining accurate and timely data
- An effective communicator orally and written with excellent interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet manipulation
- Competent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well presented documents
- Ability to operate under pressure
- Strong ability to create and thrive in a team environment
- Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports
