Job Summary
Conduct patrols and enforce security protocols at a professional sports venue, ensuring property safety and managing disturbances through legal methods compliant with DC Code and company policies. Cover shift transitions, vacations, and absences while maintaining order, deterring trespassers, and responding immediately to emergencies or incidents. Submit comprehensive reports detailing complaints, observations, and investigative findings, advising supervisors on activities of interest or concern. Drive staff to and from the ballpark on gamedays when required. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential on-call duties to maintain minimum staffing coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully clear a background check
- Must have U.S. work authorization
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- 2 year(s): Related safety and security professional experience and/or training
- High School or better
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to climb up/down stairs
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit
- Must be able to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue
- Must be able to operate under pressure
- Competent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well-presented documents
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet manipulation
- An effective communicator orally and written with excellent interpersonal skills
- Understands the need for data integrity and pays attention to maintaining accurate and timely data
- Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, deliver effective results and consistently meet tight deadlines and targets
- Strong ability to create and thrive in a team environment
- Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports
