Job Summary
Special Operations Physical Therapist responsible for evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions for SOF personnel. Requires a Master’s in Physical Therapy with ABPTS (OCS/SCS) or NATA (ATC) credentials, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain Secret/Top Secret clearance. Provides neuro-musculoskeletal care with clinical privileges (including imaging orders, labs, dry needling, injections, referrals), supervises PT staff, contributes to program administration and clinical guidelines, and maintains documentation in military EHRs (AHLTA/MHS GENESIS) and HP databases. Minimum 5+ years in sports-medicine manual therapy; strong English communication; able to perform in field/specialized environments; relocation offered.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
- ABPTS certification (OCS or SCS) or NATA certification (ATC)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- 5+ years of manual therapy experience in sports medicine (preferred at NCAA Division I, Olympic, professional, and/or SOF settings)
- Ability to obtain/maintain Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Fluent English communication
- Proficiency with electronic health records (AHLTA, MHS GENESIS) and HP database systems
- Capability to hike in rough terrain and work in austere environments
- Duties include supervision of PT Tech/PT Assistant/ATC within scope
- Maintain credentialing requirements in local MTF
