Job Summary
Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker will function as a Behavioral Health Care Provider within an operational unit, applying social work procedures and evidence-based therapies (individual, family, group, couples) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychological and neuropsychological disorders. Responsibilities include conducting quality improvement activities, clinical investigations, consulting with medical personnel and military authorities, maintaining medical records, participating in DoD training, potential clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees, conducting assessments of treatment adherence, addressing barriers to care, educating patients about mental health, maintaining patient registries and EMRs, coordinating with psychiatry and referring providers, and performing case management as needed. The role requires DoD/VA experience, certification in BCLS, and compliance with safety, health, environmental, and QA policies.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Secret or Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
- Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent degree from CSWE-accredited program
- Current unrestricted license to independently practice social work in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Credentialing in good standing at local MTF
- Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in independent clinical social work practice in mental health
- Working knowledge of professional standards and ethics for clinical social work
- Experience with brief behavioral interventions
- Possession of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and ability to provide documentation
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Experience in government healthcare settings (DoD or VA MTF)
