Job Summary
Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker to integrate physical, mental, and psychological wellness for service members and their families within an operational unit. Responsibilities include applying social work procedures and techniques (interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies) across individual, family, group, and couples therapy; conducting evaluations and treatment planning for psychological and neuropsychological disorders; participating in quality improvement, staff meetings, and research; coordinating with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts; maintaining accurate patient records and reports; potential clinical supervision of unlicensed providers; completing required DoD/ service training; assessing treatment adherence and barriers, educating patients about their mental health and treatment regimen; and meeting credentialing requirements in local MTF.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
- Maintain a current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Must have a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
- Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting.
- Experience in brief behavioral interventions.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Prior military and/or SOF experience.
- Experience working in a Government setting such a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
