Job Summary

Special Operations Case Manager (Part-Time) in the National Capitol Region at KBR. The role involves providing professional nursing principles and case management in clinical settings for DoD beneficiaries, including data collection, health assessments, telephone assessments, prioritizing patient care, discharge planning, referrals, contract negotiations for services, utilization review, and applying VA/DOD clinical guidelines. Requires U.S. citizenship, appropriate active RN or LCSW licensure, two years of nursing or case management experience, certification as a case manager or within first year, BCLS, and eligibility for required security clearances. Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must possess a Secret or Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Current full, active, unrestricted RN or Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in any U.S. state, DC, PR, or U.S. territories (e.g., USVI, Guam)
  • Minimum of two years nursing or case management experience
  • Certification as a case manager by a recognized body (e.g., CCM, ANCC) or obtain within first year
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Ability to understand diagnoses to optimize function and self-care
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English
  • Strong knowledge of discharge planning, patient education, and utilization review
  • Knowledge of VA/DOD Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Familiarity with healthcare financial environment and resource stewardship
  • Ability to consult with healthcare providers and negotiate services
  • Compliance with professional ethics and state/federal laws
