Job Summary
Provide direct support to students with special needs during Extended Day Program activities in individual, small group, or large group settings. Foster engagement by modeling appropriate behavior, communication, and participation while adapting environments to meet individual student needs. Collaborate with staff to implement behavior support strategies, ensure safety, and maintain accurate documentation of observations. Attend required training and staff meetings to maintain compliance. Shifts run 2:00-5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, from September through June.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Moderate experience working with children
- Hold an AA/AS degree, OR have completed 60 semester credits, OR have an approved competency portfolio, OR have passed the MN Paraprofessional Assessment (Parapro Test)
- Successful completion of background check
