Job Summary
Provide one-on-one companionship and habilitation support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings on Kauai. Build lasting relationships, help clients develop independence in daily activities (budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, exercise), and ensure safety and wellbeing. No prior experience required. Flexible, part-time schedule with paid training, weekly pay, and benefits; opportunities to engage in clients' activities and hobbies (e.g., Special Olympics) while delivering compassionate, person-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Patience, empathy and dedication
- Passion for providing opportunities to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
