Job Summary
Tutor individuals or small groups of students with disabilities, reinforcing and implementing instruction as directed by the teacher. Administer medications and injections subject to training requirements and state law. Transport students to and from activities, assist with personal care tasks, and monitor behavior according to approved procedures. Perform routine clerical duties, prepare instructional materials, and direct group activities while ensuring student health and safety. Participate in meetings and professional development training as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- successful completion of KPA
- completed two years of study at an institution of higher education
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in working with children in an organized setting
