Job Summary
ICC Special Inspector for Reinforced Concrete and/or Structural Masonry based in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities include structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations; field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt; preparing detailed field reports; conducting laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing results; evaluating site and subgrade conditions with recommendations; and communicating with clients, contractors, and staff. Qualifications emphasize ICC Reinforced Concrete and/or Structural Masonry (required), with bonus for ICC Structural Steel & Bolting, ICC Structural Welding, and ICC MSI; candidate should be able to read and interpret plans, specs, safety rules, and manuals. Required Qualifications
- ICC Reinforced Concrete and /or Structural Masonry is required (at least one)
- ICC Structural Steel & Bolting and ICC Structural Welding a plus
- ICC MSI preferred
- Ability to learn to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
