Job Summary
Manage daily field testing and inspection activities, scheduling staff based on project needs and capabilities. Review daily field reports and test data for accuracy, preparing monthly summaries and managing project budgets. Communicate with contractors and owners regarding testing services, distributing reports and data to project teams. Attend monthly and preconstruction meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. Perform on-site inspections and testing at project sites as necessary. Maintain contact with clients and network to develop new ones. Requires five to twelve years of progressive engineering or testing/inspection experience, NCDOT and ACI Field Technician Level I certification, and preferred ICC and Engineering Intern certificates.
Required Qualifications
- Five years or greater of progressive engineering and/or testing/inspection experience
- Bachelor degree in engineering or related field of study
- Seven years or greater of progressive engineering and/or testing/inspection experience
- Associate degree in engineering or related field of study
- Twelve years or greater of progressive engineering and/or testing/inspection experience
- NCDOT and American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Technician Level I certification
Desired Qualifications
- International Code Council (ICC) Reinforced Concrete and Masonry certifications
- Engineering Intern (EI) certificate
