Job Summary
Conduct field observation, QA/QC, and testing services during construction phases to ensure projects meet specifications. Observe work for conformance with approved design drawings, perform field testing of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel per ASTM and AASHTO requirements, and furnish inspection reports to building officials and engineers. Notify supervisors and contractors of deviations from plans, communicate effectively with project personnel to manage the project, and make sound professional decisions with minimal supervision. Requires a high school diploma, driver's license, and experience with ASTM/AASHTO procedures; preferred certifications include Nuclear Gauge, ACI, ICC, and NJ DCA. Based in New York with hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $35.00.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with ASTM and AASHTO testing procedures
- Ability to follow direction, procedures and learn repetitive tasks
- Driver's License and insurable driving record
