Job Summary
As an early-career construction professional, perform field inspections on active sites to verify compliance with approved plans, specs, and codes; observe reinforced concrete placement, pre-pour inspections, and placement monitoring; conduct structural masonry and basic structural steel inspections (bolting and welding observations); perform construction materials testing including soil and concrete testing; evaluate activities for compliance with IBC, ACI, and industry standards; prepare detailed daily field reports documenting observations, testing results, deficiencies, and corrective actions; communicate with contractors, superintendents, engineers, project managers, and internal team members; maintain project documentation and inspection records per company procedures; support quality assurance initiatives and promote safe construction practices; assist with obtaining certifications and expanding technical expertise across multiple inspection disciplines; and participate in certification training and professional development to advance within the inspection field.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 0–3 years of experience in construction, special inspections, materials testing, or related fields
- Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and construction processes
- Materials Testing: Experience or familiarity with soil testing and construction materials testing
- Field Work: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
- Communication: Strong verbal, written, and documentation skills
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
