Job Summary
Answer customer questions, deliver quality service, receive payment for parking, and facilitate traffic flow through the gate. Control entrances and exits as needed, provide directions, and report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences. Communicate debris, water, or oil spills to management, count bank money at shift start, collect cash and coupons, maintain security, make change, issue receipts or tickets, and verify transactions against money on hand. Arrive at work on time in a neat uniform, demonstrate knowledge of the city and event locations, and perform essential functions including standing, walking, handling equipment, and lifting up to 25 pounds in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Availability to work the 3rd shift and weekends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit and climb or balance
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, and humid)
