Job Summary
Special Events Assistant at The Salvation Army Kroc Center assists with hosting events, delivering exceptional guest service, setting up and breaking down dining spaces, assisting kitchen staff with meal preparation and serving, and ensuring cleanliness and safety of dining facilities. Responsibilities include setting tables/buffet lines, maintaining inventory, and delivering friendly, professional representation of the Kroc Center at events; requires physical endurance (standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs) and requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), plus food handler certification or ability to obtain it and a valid driver’s license. The role supports event operations, food service, and customer experience in a part-time capacity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year experience in customer service with food prep preferred
- Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
- Valid State Driver’s License
