Job Summary
Collect, load, and transport office furniture, laboratory equipment, and special event items including stages, tables, and lecterns. Lift and move equipment weighing over 100 pounds while safeguarding tools and moving equipment. Operate trucks and forklifts as needed, assisting in facility and vehicle management maintenance. Sort and handle materials to ensure repurposing through Surplus Properties or proper recycling, adhering to university sustainability goals. Support the Crew Leader by processing work orders on time and maintaining a clean, safe environment compliant with federal, state, and local requirements. Provide accurate follow-through to external and internal customers while ensuring all activities align with Emory University safety and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- five years of related experience
- a valid Georgia Driver's License
- an insurable driving record
- the ability to lift 100 + pounds
- Basic knowledge of HIPPA guidelines
- Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location
