Job Summary
Observe and monitor play activities, provide structured activities, and interact with children in a safe, caring environment. Prepare and serve meals, snacks, or formula, and accompany children on walks to the playground while keeping the care area and materials clean and organized. This on-call position requires daytime and evening availability with varying hours of 0–10 per month, beginning August 17th. Candidates must have previous child care experience, reliable transportation, and pass a pre-employment physical, TB screen, background check, and drug test. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous child care experience
- Possess a genuine concern for and ability to relate to young children in a positive manner
- Daytime and evening availability
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Child care Licensing
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- If using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado
