Job Summary

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on autoclaves, glasswashers, ovens, dryers, rack and tunnel washers, and other specialized laboratory and processing equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and hands-on problem-solving skills. Respond to service calls and emergency situations promptly, working to minimize equipment downtime and restore full functionality to critical systems. Document all maintenance activities, service reports, calibration records, and equipment performance data accurately in computerized maintenance management systems. Collaborate with facility management teams, laboratory staff, contractors, and vendors to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and system optimization projects. Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours and emergency support as needed. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and JLL's quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing autoclaves, glasswashers, laboratory ovens, industrial dryers, or similar specialized processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Working knowledge of control systems
  • Working knowledge of equipment monitoring technologies
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday
  • Ability to work 6:00am to 2:30pm
  • Ability to work overtime based on business needs
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of a technical training program in mechanical systems, industrial maintenance, or related field
  • Associate degree or higher in industrial maintenance technology, electromechanical technology, or related technical discipline
  • Experience with major equipment brands such as STERIS, Getinge, Gruenberg, or other laboratory and sterilization equipment manufacturers
  • Background working in laboratory, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or research facility environments
  • Certification in autoclave maintenance, steam sterilization systems, or related specialty equipment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA, GMP, or ISO standards as they apply to laboratory and processing equipment
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and mobile work order platforms
