Job Summary
Special Education Teaching Assistant (Self-Contained) at Anderson School District Five. Supports classroom teacher with daily duties, assists special education students with academic, functional, and personal needs, helps maintain positive student behavior, supervises students in multiple settings, monitors health and safety, administers basic first aid as instructed, assists with literacy/reading programs, assessments, and IEP goals, and participates in professional development. Requires ability to support students with autism and other needs, effective communication, classroom management, and adherence to district standards; completion of an associate degree preferred; CPR/First Aid certification required; Highly Qualified status required.
