Job Summary
Special Education Teaching Assistant I position in Taft 7-12 within Lincoln County School District. Assists students with disabilities individually or in small groups, reinforces learning concepts, employs varied teaching methods (lecture, discussion, supervised role playing), supports transitions to extracurricular and general classroom activities, assists with alternative communication methods, helps manage student discipline as directed, and may assist with physical management needs under teacher direction. Requires ability to work with students who have behavior challenges; prior documentation to supply a resume and two letters of recommendation; background check and fingerprinting upon selection. 7.5 hour school day; starting hourly rate $19.51-$21.53 with benefits.
