Job Summary
Assists the teacher in implementing individualized student programs and classroom activities for students with special needs; supports teachers in planning, preparation, implementation, and documentation of IEP objectives; helps students develop social and work skills; may accompany teachers on home visits or homebound instruction; participates in school functions and supervises cafeteria and playground; requires high school diploma or equivalent and an associate degree or 60 semester hours (or Paraprofessional assessment), CPR/First Aid, and basic computer skills; non-exempt paraprofessional role in Flowing Wells Unified School District.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or 60 semester hours of coursework or pass a formal state Paraprofessional assessment
- First aid and CPR training
- Proficiency in computer programs (Microsoft Excel and Word)
