Job Summary

Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students in your care. Prepare detailed lesson plans for submission to administrators and communicate progress with staff and families. Participate in scheduled IEP meetings, confer with on-site therapists regarding behavioral issues, and invite family members to participate in educational progress reviews. Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student development and create a safe, productive classroom environment. Submit quarterly progress reports to track student advancement. This role supports Pediatric Developmental Services' mission to provide highly qualified teachers and therapists to public school districts, charter schools, and communities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Special Education Certificate (according to AZ Department of Education requirements)
  • Arizona Teaching Licensure
  • specific certification where applicable - examples: Early Childhood Education Certificate, CC for Cross Category Specialists
  • experience with IEP writing, meetings etc
  • Experience working with K-12 children
