Special Education Teacher - Visual Impairment

Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student in your care while preparing detailed lesson plans for administrator approval. Communicate with staff and families regarding student progress, participate in scheduled IEP meetings, and distribute quarterly progress reports. Use individualized reinforcement techniques to guide students toward their goals and invite family participation in educational advancement. Confer with on-site therapists regarding disciplinary and behavioral issues to maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.
