Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for developing and monitoring accommodations for K-12 students with special needs; collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 plans and IEPs; deliver inclusive instruction across pull-out, push-in, small group, and 1:1 formats; build positive relationships with students and families, participate in weekly school-wide meetings, and engage in practice-based professional development and coaching; required to meet New Jersey certification eligibility and pursue state certification after starting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (a final undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 if you graduated prior to 9/1/16) and must become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment.
