Job Summary
Special Education Teacher at Uncommon Schools. You will develop and monitor accommodations for students with special needs, collaborate on 504 plans and IEPs, differentiate instruction, and provide pull-out, push-in, small-group, and one-on-one instruction. You’ll build positive relationships with students and families, participate in weekly school-wide meetings, and work with your grade-level team to set academic goals and share instructional strategies. A bachelor’s degree is required and NY state certification eligibility is needed; 1-2 years of experience in urban K-12 settings is preferred. Strong collaboration, data-driven planning, and commitment to social-emotional and academic development are essential.
Required Qualifications
