Job Summary
Develop and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities while delivering tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure comprehensive student support, monitor progress, and adapt instructional strategies to improve outcomes. Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior, create a safe classroom environment, and guide staff in implementing educational strategies. This full-time, on-site role operates 37.5 hours per week during the 2026–2027 school year (August–June) in Phoenix, AZ, offering $55–$75+/hour with guaranteed hours for documentation and planning.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching Certification
- Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education
- State License as as SPED teacher
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
- Physical Requirements: Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities
Desired Qualifications
