Job Summary
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities and deliver tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure comprehensive student support while monitoring progress and adapting instructional strategies. Maintain accurate records of performance and behavior to inform ongoing instruction and create a safe, productive classroom environment. Provide guidance to staff on implementing educational strategies for students with special needs. This short-term, on-site role in Windsor, CT requires a certified SPED teacher with a state license and 1+ years of experience, offering competitive pay and guaranteed hours including administrative time.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching Certification
- Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education
- State License as as SPED teacher
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
- Physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities
Desired Qualifications
