Job Summary
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs), deliver tailored instruction, and assess student progress for PreK–12 learners with disabilities. Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure comprehensive support while maintaining accurate records of performance and behavior. Create a safe, productive classroom environment and guide staff in implementing educational strategies. This full-time, on-site role runs August through June with guaranteed hours including administrative time. Candidates require a teaching certification, state license, and 1+ years of school experience. TheraPeds Partners provides dual support from the District and offers competitive pay ranging from $50 to $60+/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching Certification
- Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education
- State License as as SPED teacher
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
- Physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred
- Experience working with children
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
