Special Education Teacher

Job Summary
Conduct instructional programs for middle and high school students with special needs, including ED/LD/OHI and Autism, using mastery learning and natural consequences. Collaborate with administrators, counselors, parents, and other teachers to implement the program and facilitate student growth. Manage responsibilities and timelines while supporting students in crisis through individualized education, vocational support, and outdoor experiential activities. Maintain a year-round schedule in Wheeling, IL, with a Bachelor's degree and Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement required. Bilingual skills and content expertise in Math or Science are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Secondary Education, or content area of related field
- Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement
- Familiarity with a wide range of special needs
