Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for providing individualized instruction, support, and services to students with disabilities to help them achieve academic, behavioral, and functional goals. Collaborates with general education staff, families, and support personnel to implement IEPs in compliance with applicable regulations, ensuring every student receives a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. Responsibilities include differentiated instruction, IEP development and progress monitoring, behavior management using positive strategies, and strong collaboration and communication with staff and families. Requires a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) and Texas teacher certification with required special education endorsements; at least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
