Special Education Teacher (Students with Significant Disabilities)

Plan and implement specially designed instruction for students with significant disabilities, aligning lessons to state standards and using varied materials to address individual learning needs. Develop and update Individual Education Plans annually with the IEP team, compile progress reports for parents, and maintain accurate records of student work and attendance. Deliver IEP services in collaboration with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other providers while managing the classroom environment to ensure positive student behavior and high expectations. Participate in Professional Learning Communities, attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school board committees, and supervise students during school-related events and between classes.
