Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for working with students with disabilities in small group or 1:1 settings, coordinating IEP meetings, providing specially designed instruction, facilitating related services, collecting and reporting progress data, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, and collaborating with general education staff to implement IEP requirements and ensure FAPE. May require CPI or TACT-2 certified restraint or seclusion as school designee. Strong emphasis on documenting student progress, coordinating IEP teams, and maintaining confidential records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check
- current special education certificate valid in relevant jurisdiction
- CPR and First Aid
