Job Summary
Special Education Teacher role focusing on severe/moderate needs across a district; develop and implement coursework and individualized instruction for students with affective and severe needs (including Autism Classroom, BD, ILC, SED, and Transition Programming); plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in large, small, and one-on-one settings; design assessments and monitor student progress; supervise classroom environment and behavior; collaborate with teachers, staff, and families; participate in department, building, and District meetings and professional growth activities; qualify with a Bachelor's degree, Colorado teaching license in Special Education, and district-endorsed program endorsement; mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training; strong teamwork and dedication to student achievement and diversity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Colorado Department of Education teaching license
- Colorado Special Education Teacher endorsement applicable to position incumbent’s assigned program
- Mandatory biennial Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District
