Job Summary
Secondary Special Education Teacher responsible for maximizing learning for students with special needs by implementing district curriculum, developing and implementing IEPs, coordinating with PPTs, and collaborating with parents and staff. Duties include conducting assessments, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with laws and district procedures, providing counseling, coordinating with outside agencies, and traveling to district buildings and professional meetings as required. Requires Arkansas Teacher Certification in Special Education and a Masters in Special Education; will work in a school setting with travel to district sites.
Required Qualifications
- Arkansas Certification/License: State Certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters Degree in Special Education
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
- Applicants must pass an Arkansas State Police background check, an FBI and DHS background check
