Special Education Teacher (Science)

Coordinate teaching programs with site-based goals and district-wide objectives while instructing students in motor, language, socio-emotional, and cognitive development. Assure that Individual Educational Plan goals are completed and assist students with special needs, including feeding, moving, and personal care tasks. Plan and direct educational assistants, provide one-on-one instruction, and maintain the classroom environment for optimum learning and safety. Deliver curriculum accurately, resolve conflicts, and develop academic achievement goals. Maintain documentation, records of performance and attendance, and complete required reports within prescribed time frames. Comply with New Mexico Administrative Code regulations and uphold ethical responsibility standards. This 190-day contract for the 2026-2027 school year requires a Bachelor's degree and current New Mexico teaching license.
