Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for high school in Zebulon, NC. In-person only. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, providing differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings, adapting lesson plans and curricula to meet diverse needs, assessing progress with data-driven decisions, collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff, participating in IEP meetings and evaluations, maintaining records per NCDPI/IDEA, implementing behavioral intervention plans and effective classroom management. Requires NC licensure in Special Education and prior IEP experience; benefits include contract terms up to 40 hours/week, PTO, holidays, and professional development support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program
- North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Special Education (NCDPI)
- Special Education Licensure in Adaptive Curriculum (AC) or General Curriculum (GC) preferred
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
