Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for a 4th-8th grade autism-disability classroom in Denver, CO. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, providing differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive settings, adapting lesson plans and curricula, assessing progress with data-driven decisions, collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff, participating in IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences, maintaining records per CDE/IDEA guidelines, and implementing behavioral intervention plans and classroom management strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program
- Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement (issued by the Colorado Department of Education)
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
