Job Summary
Special Education Teacher needed to develop and implement IEPs, provide differentiated instruction in various settings, adapt curricula for diverse learners, monitor progress with data-driven decisions, collaborate with general education teachers and therapists, participate in IEP meetings and evaluations, maintain compliant records per NCDPI and IDEA, and implement behavioral plans and classroom management to promote student engagement. Requires NC licensure in Special Education (AC or GC preferred), fingerprint clearance, and experience with IEPs. Contract role with up to 40 hours/week and opportunities to extend or convert to permanent, plus benefits and professional development support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program
- North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Special Education (NCDPI)
- Special Education Licensure in Adaptive Curriculum (AC) or General Curriculum (GC) preferred
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
